Xperia X Performance coming to the UK after all

Fans of the Sony Xperia line of smartphones weren't happy back in February when we heard that the Xperia XA might not come to the States and the Xperia X Performance might not come to the UK and Germany. Fans in the UK will be glad to hear that it appears the X Performance is coming to the UK after all, albeit in limited quantities.

UK retail outlet Clove has spilled the beans on the smartphone coming to the UK with plans to stock the smartphone for £549 with a mid-July availability date. Clove does delivery globally so German fans might be able to get hands on one via this route as well. The version Clove will offer is unlocked and SIM free. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and has Sony UI over the top.

The processor is a Snapdragon 820 quad core running at 2.2 GHz. The GPU is an Adreno 530 and the smartphone has 3GB of RAM to go with that chipset. Internal storage is 32GB and the device has a microSD card slot good for up to 200GB of storage. Sony fits the X Performance with a 5-inch display that has 1080 x 1920 resolution with scratch resistant glass and Triluminos technology.

GPRS and GSM networks are supported along with 3G/HSPA and 4G connectivity. Bluetooth, WiFi, and DLNA are all supported as well. The rear camera is a 23MP unit with auto focus and LED flash with a 3MP front camera, GPS is integrated as well. The camera promises low light performance with ISO 12800/3200. Power comes from a 2700 mAh internal lithium-ion battery. Dimensions are 143.7 x 70.5 x 8.6mm and the smartphone weighs 165g. The X Performance also has a fingerprint scanner on the front.
