Xbox One S All-Digital Edition release date, price, games

There's a disc-free Xbox One S All-Digital Edition coming, and it's doing more than just melting your brain with its unreasonably long title. This is the long-anticipated no-disc version of the Xbox One, a device that depends on the internet to get its video game action on. To that end, the first Xbox One S All-Digital Edition consoles will come with several games already installed.

Games included with the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition are as follows: Minecraft, Forza Horizon 3, and Sea of Thieves. These are three rather broad-aiming games most users will enjoy – especially Minecraft, a game in which literally every person in the entire world can find some enjoyment. Forza Horizon 3 is pretty fun to blast through, too.

As far as we can see, so far, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition has exactly the same innards as the Xbox One S. That means the only real difference is the removal of the disc drive – which makes the device slightly different in size and weight, but barely.

It would appear from the first images of this device that all other features remain in-tact. We'll need to get the actual device in our hands to be sure – so stay tuned while we check it out.

This version of the console will be available first at Microsoft Store physical locations or online (at the Microsoft Store, too). It'll also be coming to Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon online starting on May 7th, 2019.

The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will cost users right around $250 USD. that's approximately $50 cheaper than your average Xbox One S... so... maybe consider just getting that one instead? Not that it'll really matter, since most people just buy games digitally now anyway.
