Xbox 360 gets Showtime Anytime

On Tuesday, Showtime announced the availability of Showtime Anytime for the Xbox 360. This marks a big move for Showtime Networks — the first time its Anytime has launched on a game console — and precedes the eventual availability for the Xbox One.

Showtime subscribers can get access to Showtime Anytime on Xbox for free with an Xbox Live membership. With the service comes both live broadcasts from the network, as well as on-demand content. For those who aren’t subscribers, access to select free episodes will also be available.

Some of the shows available through Showtime Anytime includes Dexter, House of Lies, Californication, Nurse Jacke, and more. Documentaries, sports, and other content will also be available.

For those with applicable service, Showtime Anytime is available now. The service works with Kinect, allowing it to be controlled through gesture and voice commands, eschewing the need for a controller. Showtime Anytime will be available for the Xbox One later on this year.
