Where's Zuckerberg's Facebook organ donor status?

We reported earlier today that Facebook has launched a new feature that encourages more people to become organ donors by letting users share this information via a profile status update. With more people announcing that they are organ donors, peer pressure may get more folks to join the ranks. However, on last check, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself has yet to set a good example by adopting this new status.

Zuckerberg unveiled the new feature this earlier today on Good Morning America, citing that an average of 18 people die each day due to lack of organ donors. With the social power of Facebook, Zuckerberg hopes that the new feature would add cachet to the organ donor status and in turn encourage more people to do so.

It goes without question then that Facebook employees would take the lead in adding the new status to their profiles. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg quickly embraced the organ donor status and co-authored a post on Facebook with Zuckerberg on the new feature. But oddly, Zuckerberg himself has yet to add the status to his own profile.

He may just be too busy to update his status, but there's already a sense of pressure that one ought to comply to this public declaration of generosity. Will Facebook convince you to become an organ donor?
