WEEE Helps You Get Rid Of Your Old Electronics

Having an overabundance of old electronics in landfills has become a major issue all around the world. Many have debated as to how to deal with this issue and left it up to consumers to fix the issue. Well the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) has decided to change that.

In the UK WEEE is holding manufacturers responsible. When your electronics are scrapped just email or call the manufacturer and they will pick it up from your doorstep. This applies to all of the below.

1. Large household appliances

2. Small household appliances

3. IT & Telecommunications equipment

4. Consumer equipment

5. Lighting equipment

6. Electrical and electronic tools

7. Toys leisure and sports equipment

8. Medical devices

9. Monitoring and control instruments

10. Automatic dispensers

All of this will be enforced as of July 1st of this year.
