Watch an AK-74 bullet travel through more than 5 iPhones

We've seen lots of videos already of devices like iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones shot in super-slow motion with weapons like sniper rifles and hand guns, and even heard of one iPhone 5C that saved its owner's life from a shotgun blast, but how about lining up multiple smartphones to see how many a single bullet will pass through? Well, YouTuber EverythingApplePro has answered that question for us, with his video where he shoots at over six iPhones at close-range with an AK-74 assault rifle.

The video shows a number of iPhone models, ranging from several 6 Pluses and 6s, to an iPhone 5S and iPhone 4S, with a Samsung Galaxy S6 all the way at the back. Turns out Apple's smartphones make pretty decent body armor for the Galaxy, assuming there are at least five or more lined up in a row.

As you can see in the video, the AK-74's steel-core bullet easily passes through the first four iPhones, and becomes lodged in the screen of the fifth-device. The shooter notes that the AK-74, the successor to the well-known AK-47 assault rifle, fires bullets at a max speed of 2,900 feet per second. He also notes that the steel-core bullet used has light armor-piercing capabilities, and as a result passes through the first few phones with minimal resistance, with 4th one being completely warped and bent.

The YouTuber tries a second attempt, shooting directly in the middle of the phones' display, to see what happens. While on the first try, all five phones were left in non-working condition after the bullet, on the second try, the bullet reached the sixth phone, but its screen still worked in a limited capacity. The iPhone 5S can be unlocked, and scrolling gestures continue to work.
