VW Arteon R-Line appearance package available across entire line

VW has unveiled a new appearance package for the 2019 Arteon that will be offered on every trim level for the new car from SE through SEL Premium. The appearance package is called the R-Line package and it adds in more style for the interior and exterior of the car. VW says that the R-Line package increases the sportiness of the Arteon with new interior and exterior elements.

The Arteon R-Line package will be on display at the 2018 New York International Auto Show. The package has performance-inspired design treatments with unique 19 or 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Buyers of the R-Line will get R-Line badging on the car.

The front bumper is unique with air intakes in a gloss black finish, R-Line air inlets, and cover panels. The R-Line package includes a gloss black rear spoiler. Interior tidbits include an R-Line logo on the start screen of the MIB II infotainment system.

Contrasting stitching is included on the steering wheel and shift knob. The car gets steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, metallic décor pieces, black headliner, stainless-steel sport pedal covers, and stainless-steel door sills with the R-Line logo on them.

As for the Arteon itself, all models get the same VW 2.0L TSI turbo engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. 4Motion all-wheel-drive is available on all trim levels. The car will go on sale this fall and the R-Line package will be available at launch, pricing on the package is unannounced.
