Samsung's SCH-LC11 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot slipped out at CES 2011 with the promise of dual-mode EVDO Rev.A and LTE support for Verizon's network, but no release date in tow. However, in among the recent Best Buy slip – which confirmed the XOOM and ThunderBolt launch schedules – there's also confirmation of the Samsung Presto "Hotspot", due on February 17, which could well be the official name of the SCH-LC11.

Although there's no mention of the Presto branding on Samsung's page, all of the other devices Best Buy date – the XOOM, ThunderBolt and the CDMA iPhone 4 – are headed to Verizon, suggesting it's Big Red that supplied the dates. With the SCH-LC11 already confirmed as a Verizon exclusive, it's no great stretch to assume it'll launch as the Presto in mid-February.

That would make the Samsung Presto the first 4G-capable standalone mobile hotspot on the network. No word on pricing, but according to Samsung the Presto will last for up to 9hrs of standby or 216 minutes of active use on its 1,500mAh battery, and measures in at 2.32 x 3.54 x 0.43 inches.
