Verizon 5G Home service will be offered in all 5G mobile markets

Verizon 5G Home, the home Internet service first announced by Verizon last year, will be available to all markets where the company offers 5G mobile service, the company revealed in a recently published investor note. The carrier's 5G rollout has been slow, meaning the majority of people interested in 5G Home aren't yet able to get the service. The good news is that things will eventually change.

Verizon 5G Home is exactly what it sounds like: a mobile broadband service that offers home Internet connectivity on the carrier's 5G network. The company is offering this service to customers in supported regions for $50 per month if they already have a Verizon Wireless plan that costs at least $30/month.

For customers who don't have a Verizon Wireless plan, Verizon 5G Home service is priced at $70 per month. This price comes into effect after a three-month free trial and includes YouTube TV and a free streaming device. Unlike traditional Internet services, Verizon says its 5G Home offering is contract-free.

According to Verizon Consumer's Ronan Dunne in a statement to investors, Verizon 5G Home will eventually be available in all of the carrier's 5G mobile markets. The session also revealed that Verizon still plans to hold its full 5G Home launch later this year.

At this point in time, Verizon's 5G network is only available in select parts of 10 cities in the US, making it very limited. The number of cities should double or more by the end of the year, but it'll likely be a long while before most consumers are eligible to sign up for Verizon 5G Home.
