Vanquish PC port confirmed - watch the trailer here

Sega is on something of a PC-loving roll lately. Last month, it brought the much-loved Bayonetta to PC after seven years of exclusivity to consoles. When that happened, a lot of Platinum Games fans began requesting the same treatment be given to Vanquish, an Xbox 360 and PS3 action shooter that has turned into something of a cult classic over the years.

Well, wish no longer, because Sega has confirmed that it will soon be delivering the Vanquish to PC players. It has also delivered an announcement trailer to celebrate the occasion, which shows off plenty of game's ridiculously fast action. Have a look at the trailer below.

Like Bayonetta, Vanquish will be launching with a few improvements for PC players. You'll get unlocked resolutions in the PC version, which means you'll be able to play "at 4K and beyond." Unlocked framerate is also on the docket, which is great news for a game as fast-paced as this.

Vanquish will also come with full Steam support, so look forward to achievements, trading cards, support for big picture mode, and cloud saves. Of course, you'll have the graphics options that should accompany any self-respecting PC port, with Vanquish letting you tweak things like anti-aliasing, post-processing effects, shadow and texture quality, and anisotropic filtering.Vanquish won't be available on Steam for a couple of weeks yet – Sega has given it a release date of May 25. It's available to pre-purchase now, and if you own a Steam copy of Bayonetta already, you'll get a 25% discount on the game's purchase price of $19.99. Are you excited to see Vanquish coming to PC?
