V-Moda Zn Headphones are for active and mobile audiophiles

Often when we talk about headphones for audiophiles, we are talking about big and bulky over ear headphones that aren't super portable and certainly weren't made for people who are exercising. V-Moda has rolled out a new set of in-ear headphones that are small and sleek but promise the sound quality audiophiles want and they are called the Zn in-ear headphones.

If you are wondering about the name of the headphones, Zn is the element symbol for zinc. Zinc is used in an alloy that makes the metal housing and the special alloy allows the case to be cast in unique shapes with the precision needed for audio quality. The headphones use an 8mm driver for improved tonal quality with very low distortion.

Acoustic filters are installed between the driver and housing that controls the airflow mechanics and the filters used are limited in supply. The headphones come in two models with a single button remote or a 3-button version to work with all smartphones and other devices.

An onboard mic allows these to be used to make and receive phone calls. Frequency response is 2-25,000 Hz, sensitivity is 105dB, and impedance is 16 ohms. The headphones come with a carry pouch and six sets of tips to fit all sizes of ears. The version with the 3-button remote sells for $180 and the single button version will be available soon.
