Upgrade S10 to Note 10: Are these specs worth the jump?
Details leaked on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 allow us to take a peek at the potential changes between Samsung's two newest generations of hero phone. Today we're looking at the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10 5G compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Note 10 Pro – even IF they don't stick to that particular nomenclature. The first big jump that wasn't made: camera specs.
Why switch to a new phone if it uses the same old camera system? The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 apparently uses the same main camera, S5K2L4, as the Galaxy S10. There'll be new features, but likely no new features that won't also be delivered to the Galaxy S10 by the end of the year. This will be the last smartphone Samsung will deliver (in their hero line) with a 1.4μm camera.
There'll be a few differences between the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus (or Pro, whichever you choose to call it). The likely official name will be just Note10+, but given the relatively major differences between the standard 10 and the 10+, the name PRO feels a bit more appropriate.
The camera system on the Note 10+ will be SIMILAR to the Galaxy S10 5G – and in fact might end up being essentially the same, once the 5G gets the latest software update. Both devices have a ToF sensor, which means they'll work with augmented reality, 3D scanning, and all sorts of other fun things – like the potential for real-life night-vision (in the dark!)

So you'd like to know the quick and dirty version of the comparison, yes? Here we're looking at the Galaxy S10 series best-of-best features – so mostly the S10 5G unit – compared to the Galaxy S10+.
Different or upgraded:
• Industrial Design (external hardware aesthetics)
• Larger display
• Larger display-to-body ratio
• UFS 3.0 instead of just 2.1
• Base 25w charging speed instead of 15w, with the ability to go up to 45w with the right charger
ALSO: Somatosensory options enabled by new sensor tech – this means you're able to wave across the screen to answer calls, move through the OS, and other neat stuff. This will be enabled with the S Pen as well. This will be the first Galaxy Note device to use the S Pen as an off-screen controller for the operating system (beyond just the button as a camera shutter).
