Unlocked LG G7 ThinQ is coming soon to all US carriers

If you look at all the premium phones LG has put out the past 6 or so months, you might think it has been pretty busy. Look closer, however, and you'll discover mere iterations of an existing model. That, of course, isn't stopping LG, which is probably good for its fans. Even better for its fans, its latest semi-flagship might not remain exclusive to AT&T and Google Project Fi for long. That is if this official product listing is any indication.

The LG V35 ThinQ is the LG G7 ThinQ without a notch, a bigger battery, and, for markets that didn't have any other G7 option, more RAM. It is definitely an upgrade compared to the non-ThinQ LG V30 from last year but, with a potential V40 (ThinQ) coming soon, this smartphone is caught in limbo in more ways than one.

Taken in isolation, the V35 is admittedly a handsome phone, especially if you care nothing for cutouts. Powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, the phone boasts of an unbroken 6.0-inch 2880x1440 FullView OLED, not LCD, display. There's also a 3,300 mAh battery inside and twin 16 megapixel cameras on its back.

When it was officially announced, it was revealed that the V35 ThinQ would be available only on AT&T and from Google's Project Fi. It seems, however, that it won't be the case for long. An unlocked version, discovered by phoneArena, popped up on LG's US website, hinting that it will also be made available for the general masses. In fact, the phone's support for both CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, and LTE networks means it will be compatible with Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon, among other carriers.

The only pieces we're missing are the date and the price. The latter probably won't stray far from the $899 price tag on AT&T and Project Fi. Which means all interested buyers have to do is wait and save up for the unlocked LG V35 ThinQ.
