Ubisoft to bring titles to Mac users

I'm sure that there are a few of you out there that enjoy gaming on a Mac. Believe me, I'm one of them, though all I really run on my Hackentosh (yes, my Windows gaming rig also runs OSX) is WoW. Well if you're a fan of Ubisoft titles, then you'll be happy to hear that they've just struck a deal that will bring simultaneous releases for their titles on both Mac and PC platforms.

Ubisoft just completed a deal with TransGaming, which will allow them to use the company's Cider Portability Engine, which essentially allows for easy porting from PC to Mac. The games will then become available through TransGaming's GameTree portal in addition to being found on store shelves.

I'm sure that the first titles that they are working on will get you very excited. These will be CSI: Hard Evidence, as well as the Petz game. Nothing gets me more excited about a game than an unnecessary 'z' at the end of it. We should also start to see more of their popular titles getting the Mac treatment sometime this year.
