Twitter app update brings improved photo editing and tagging

The official Twitter app has been updated for Android users. The updated app gets improved photo editing and sharing capability. Tagging has also been updated in the app making it easier to tag people in the photos you are uploading.

The updated tagging capability allows you to @mention people in the tweet by tagging them during the upload. People can be tagged in the photo updates by tapping the picture. The update also makes it easy to edit photos by clicking a picture on twitter or uploading an existing photo. The images can now be recropped with different aspects.

The available aspect ratios for recropping include square or wide. The update also allows the rotating of photos before they are uploaded. These are updates that twitter has needed and will be appreciated by users on Android devices.

Discovery is also improved with the update. The app shows recommended tweets, trending topics, and suggestions. Those recommendations will be shown only when you have no new tweets to check out. This feature is only in the US now. Twitter will roll these updates out to the iOS app soon.
