Twilight Zone reboot premieres on CBS All Access in April

Back in December 2017, CBS revealed that it would be rebooting The Twilight Zone for its modern audience, something we later learned would involve Jordan Peele as both executive producer and host. After years of effort, CBS will finally be launching its revived hit show on April 1 with a two-episode premiere, though fans will need a CBS All Access subscription to stream them.

The premiere details were announced today by CBS All Access executive vice president of original content Julie McNamara. CBS All Access users can expect to get access to the rebooted The Twilight Zone's first two episodes on April Fool's day, and it's probably safe to that's not a joke.

Rod Serling's role in the original series will be filled by Jordan Peele, who is also the show's executive producer. The reboot is said to feature the same spirit as the original show, which ran from 1959 to 1964 on television, later spawning related works in 1985 and 2002.

Production for the show reportedly started back in October following a lengthy casting process. Confirmed cast members include Adam Scott, John Cho, Jacon Tremblay, Steven Yeun, Sanaa Lathan, and others. Following the first two episodes, fans can expect to get additional episodes every Thursday. It's unclear how many episodes are in the pipeline.

CBS All Access, the platform where it will premiere, offers on-demand and live content, as well as CBS's catalog and original shows like Star Trek: Discovery. The service is supported on just about every major streaming device and gaming console, including Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku.
