Saving power is not just a great thing to do for the environment. It can also save you a substantial amount of money. Take, for instance the TrickleStar PC Standby Power Saver. This USB device can help you save cash and put an end to unnecessary power waste.

This USB Gadget will only be available in Hong Kong, but it seems like a really good idea. You connect the device to your computer by means of the USB port. Then, the gadget will monitor your computer's power usage. All you have to do then is plug in an extension cord from the power strip where all of the computer's peripherals are plugged in.

Once your computer is off or goes on standby, the TrickleStar will shut off the power flow to your peripherals. That way, you won't have to worry about unnecessary power consumption that is leaked into your gadgets, tacking on considerably costs to your electricity bill.
