Toshiba set for sub-25nm flash memory line

Toshiba is one of the many companies in the electronics world that has its fingers into a myriad of categories within the tech segment. The company is known for making notebooks and TVs among other things. It is also big in the computer and memory hardware business.

Late last month the company unveiled a new line of HDDs with up to 1TB of storage in a 2.5-inch drive. Toshiba is also set to start making flash memory using under 25nm construction process. The new construction line to make the flash memory is set to be built and tested this year.

The company is already said to have ordered the required manufacturing equipment and will produce microchips using under 25nm technology. The smaller chips will allow for more storage capacity and circuits to be placed on a single chip. This will also for higher storage densities in the same given space.
