Toshiba DX1215 all-in-one PC packs Full HD touchscreen, HDMI input

Toshiba's Satellite L750 isn't the only new piece of computing hardware from the company today; there's also a swanky new all-in-one PC. The Toshiba DX1215 has a 21.5-inch 1080p Full HD touchscreen, behind which lurks either a Sandy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor and a 1TB 7,200 rpm hard-drive running Windows 7.

There's also a DVD burner and an optional TV tuner, while ports include two USB 3.0 with Sleep & Charge for powering up external gadgets like your phone even when the DX1215 is turned off, and four USB 2.0 ports. Toshiba also throws in its Sleep & Music system, which allows you to use the Onkyo stereo speakers with an external audio source even if the PC isn't on, and there's upscaling for DVD video to make the most of the display.

That display can also be used with outside sources, thanks to an HDMI input. It's something we like to see on all-in-ones, as it makes them particularly handy for bedrooms where you might want a PC to double up as a display for your games console.

In the box is a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse – usefully pre-paired with the all-in-one – though we'd have liked to have seen a remote control there too. Still, you get media controls on the 'board. The Toshiba DX1215 will drop in Best Buy stores, priced at $929.99, from July 3.
