TomTom Spark 3, Runner 3 and Adventurer fitness GPS watches debut at IFA 2016

TomTom has announced the launch of some new sports GPS watches that aim at active users who like to run or hike. The new ranges include the TomTom Spark 3 and Runner 3, and Adventurer watches along with the TomTom Touch fitness tracker. The Spark 3 and Runner 3 wearables both have a route exploration feature that allows users to explore new trials without having to worry about finding their way back. Unexplored routes can be uploaded from the MySports website to the watch.

The watches also count every step you take and track other workouts for swimming, running, and gym sessions in dedicated sports modes. Stats include time, distance, speed, pace, and calories burned. The Spark 3 Cardio + Music and Runner 3 Cardio + Music will launched in October for 249 euros. Another new watch that debuted at IFA is the TomTom Adventurer and it is a GPS outdoor watch designed for outdoor activities like hiking, trail running, skiing, and snowboarding.

It has an integrated heart rate monitor, barometer, compass, and automatic lift detection for snow sports. It also features GPS tracking and route Exploration. The watch can track key stats when skiing including speed, altitude, descent, and gradient. Trail runners and hikers can use route exploration, elevation metrics, and an extended battery life. The watch and has integrated heart rate and music player and tracks other activity like running or swimming. The Adventurer launches in October for 299 euro.

The last new watch is the TomTom Touch that has the ability to track muscle mass and body fat at the touch of a button to make it easy to track your progress as you work out. Touch is intended to be worn 24/7 and has all the features you expect from a fitness tracker such as steps, sleep, heart-rate monitoring, calories burned, and it has modes for running, cycling, or gym. It also supports smartphone notifications. Touch is up for pre-order with an October launch for 149 euros.
