Theaters keep screening the wrong Guardians movie

In case you haven't noticed, there are a lot of movies with the word "Guardians" in the title. For example, there's 2010's Legend of the Guardians, and there's 2012's Rise of the Guardians. Marvel's newest movie, of course, is called Guardians of the Galaxy, and so it's no surprise that some theaters are having trouble keeping them all sorted.

One Regal Cinemas theater in Virginia was having a particularly troublesome day keeping the movies in order, inadvertently playing Rise of the Guardians three times in a row before getting Guardians of the Galaxy to play, as was originally intended.

Based on tweets, the theater played five minutes of Dreamwork's Rise of the Guardians before the movie was stopped and an employee said that the issue was being fixed. The previews played again, only for the same (incorrect) movie to once again start playing.

The third time is usually the charm, but not in this case. The wrong movie was played a third time after the audience sat through the previews yet again. Based on other tweets spotted by Hollywood Reporter, this same issue has happened at some other theaters, as well.
