The new iPod nano - Yes, the rumors were right!

Could it be true, could Apple really be updating the iPod line? It's not like we haven't heard hundreds of rumors in the last few weeks surrounding new iPods, so it's no surprise really. That's not to say that we're not still excited about it. Every single iPod is getting an update.

Apple has sold over 110 million iPods to date, so they're not going to just sit back and let their old stuff sell, we're getting new ones. First up is the Shuffle, which will be 1GB for $79, and will be coming in RED.

Next up, the iPod nano. This is the one that we've been hearing all of the rumors about. What's awesome is that a lot of them were true. That picture that was taken down on 9 to 5 Mac was in fact the real deal. It's super thin and wide. The screen is 2-inches and has a resolution of 320 x 240. We're going to be able to watch videos, use Cover Flow and everything else we love about the iPod. For those wondering, the clickwheel is here to stay, on the nano at least. As for battery life, you should expect around 24 hours.

The new nano will be shipping today in two flavors, 4GB and 8GB. The 4GB will only come in silver and run you $149, while an extra $50 bucks will get you the 8GB in black, blue, green, silver and RED. You'll be able to order these online today, or you can wait and get them in stores this weekend.
