The Avengers Age of Ultron Spider-Man scene that wasn't

First of all – there is no post-credits scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron at all. None. There is, however, a very clever hoax being delivered to the web this week courtesy of one serious hoaxer. How exactly they created the sequence you're about to see, we do not know – but it's fairly believable. Especially since this is the quality at which most "post credits sequences" are delivered these days, generally speaking. And it wouldn't make much sense for Marvel to reboot Spider-Man like this AGAIN, would it?

Below you'll see a (stabilized version) of a scene that would APPEAR to have been filmed in a movie theater. It's a hoax. It shows Spider-Man appearing attached to the Avengers Tower – aka Stark Tower – telling a window washer that he's "missed a spot." Classic.

Again, the scene you've seen above isn't real. It's a well-crafted falsification.

That's not to say it isn't something we wished we'd seen, but it's highly unlikely given the licensing behind both series of characters. Disney and Sony don't exactly get along as best friends when it comes to this sort of thing.

Also there's a another clip you're going to want to see if you plan on seeing Avengers: Age of Ultron.

There IS a mid-credits scene. We're not going to ruin it for you, but there is ONE.

If you still want to wait and see after 40 minutes of credits whether or not another scene appears, be my guest, but it's not there.

No worries!

Above you'll see the last major trailer for release weekend. Watch out for the Hulkbuster.
