Telltale's entire game catalog is about to disappear from GOG

Last year, Telltale games closed its doors for good. It was a sad end to a studio that had persisted in the games industry for 14 years, building a name for itself with episodic adventure games based on big-name licenses. Now, nearly eight months after the company went defunct, GOG has announced that it will soon be removing all remaining Telltale games from its catalog.

Most of us probably knew that such an announcement was coming. Shortly after Telltale folded, a number of its games disappeared from various digital distribution platforms, with only a portion of the company's portfolio remaining listed. GOG has now put a date on when the remaining Telltale games will vanish from its storefront: May 27th, 2019.

As explained on GOG's community forums, once 10 AM UTC rolls around on the 27th, the remaining Telltale titles will be removed from GOG's listings. The games that are being removed are listed below.

• The Wolf Among Us

• Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

• Hector: Badge of Carnage

• Batman – The Telltale Series

• Batman – The Enemy Within

• Sam and Max Save the World

• Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space

• Puzzle Agent

• Puzzle Agent 2

• Tales from the Borderlands

• Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People

Here's the good news: if you already own any of the games listed above, they'll remain in your GOG library and you continue to play them after they leave GOG's store. Plus, since GOG is letting us know about their removal ahead of time, you've got a few days to buy the ones you want and add them to your library before they're gone for good.

That's not to say that these games will never reappear – if someone ends up buying Telltale's IP and renewing these licensing agreements, we could see these games make a comeback at some point in the future. For now, though, it's probably best to not count on that happening and buy any games you think you might want to play before you lose the chance.
