Xbox One S Review

Xbox One S Review

I've been using the Xbox One S for a while now, and it's become clear that Microsoft has a winner on its hands. Not just because the device is better than its predecessor - and less expensive. The Xbox One S is better than the Xbox One, the PS4, and the PS4 Pro, not least of all because it looks so extremely nice - even when it's modified to look like it's been attacked by wild animals.

And while we walk through everything that came in the box, as well as some that didn’t, we keep in mind the biggest question of all: is it worth the upgrade?

Sony Blu-ray Player, Home Theater Projector flaunt 4K HDR

These days, 2K just ain’t enough. Unless you’re talking about smartphones. Heck, even plain 4K might not be! If TV makers are to be asked, 4K HDR is where it’s at, combining the promises of ultra high def resolutions with an ultra high gamut of colors. Of course, that works well for entertainment equipment manufacturers like Sony, who, coincidentally, just announced its first 4K UHD HDR Blu-ray Player, the X1000ES, as well as a brand new 4K UHD HDR Home Theater Projector, the VPL-VW675ES, both taking advantage of the slow but growing number of available 4K content, both on disk and on the Internet.

Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 14 gives Android TV some class

Bang & Olufsen is a name perhaps more known for its premium, which usually also means expensive, audio equipment. But audio is really just one step removed from video. In fact, B&O did have a line of TVs way back when, with the Avant being the last one we've seen. That is, until now. Fully jumping into the smart TV scene, the BeoVision 14 comes from two distinct B&O TVs, combining the intelligence of the BeoVision 11 and the odd mobility of the BeoVision Avant.
