Far Cry 4’s map was reused in Primal, and Ubisoft should have embraced it

Back in 2013, Ubisoft made an interesting move with the Far Cry series. Far Cry 3 did incredibly well, and the team decided that they'd have some fun and make a stand-alone expansion for the game that took a completely different turn that we were used to. The result was a retro-futuristic game starring a cyborg named Rex "Power" Colt named Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Uncharted 4 trailer caught using Assassin’s Creed artwork, dev apologizes

Yesterday saw Sony and game developer Naughty Dog drop an impressive new story trailer for the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. However, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed a piece of in-game artwork in the video that didn't belong. As in, it was artwork from a completely different game, by a different company, to be specific. A scene in the trailer showed a framed painting on the wall, which turned out to be a piece of concept art from Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.

No new Assassin’s Creed in 2016, Destiny 2 coming 2017

No new Assassin’s Creed in 2016, Destiny 2 coming 2017

Game franchises can sometimes live on and on for years. Some even for decades. But being old and venerable doesn't always mean you always get it right. Sometimes, you can lose your way and need to find your way back. That might be the kind of soul-searching that Ubisoft will be undertaking, or should undertake, this year when it decided not to launch a new Assassin's Creed title this year. In the meantime, Bungie will be forging ahead with Destiny 2, though it seems that it is the game's destiny not to launch this year either.

When a game gets a closed beta just a month before it's ready to be released, people often wonder just how much can be changed in that time. Such is the case with Tom Clancy's The Division. Rainbow Six Siege open beta postponed over server issues [UPDATE]

It was announced earlier this year that Rainbow Six Siege would be delayed until December, but ahead of its launch would come an open beta. That open beta arrived in recent hours, but unfortunately was found to have numerous issues, so much so that it has been postponed with Ubisoft reverting back to a closed beta. According to the latest update, server issues and more are to blame.
