Galaxy S9, S9+ get Sunrise Gold, Burgundy Red color options

Smartphones these days have become so pretty and even durable that there are those who prefer their mobile companions to be naked. Their only hesitation often comes from the drab and common black, white, and gray colors on their smartphone's rear. That is why some manufacturers have taken pains to distinguish their smartphones' backs by design, color, or even both. Take for example the Galaxy S9 ad S9+, whose glossy glass backs now come in gold and the ever so rare red hues.

Galaxy A6, A6+ now official, Galaxy S9 in Galaxy J clothing

Samsung has finally took the covers off the Galaxy A6 and A6+ though we've pretty much known everything there is about them. Of course, it's always good to have official confirmation, plus some details on their availability. As with the Galaxy S9 and S9+, Samsung is pushing the pair's camera chops. But unlike the higher end model, only one of them really has the bragging rights to Samsung's "Camera Reimagined" slogan.

Don’t buy Samsung’s 256GB Galaxy S9 – get this instead

Storage fans wanting the most capacious Android smartphone may be looking eagerly at Samsung's new 128 GB and 256 GB Galaxy S9 and S9+ today, but those who consider themselves clever with money should look elsewhere. The new smartphones do address complaints from some quarters about the standard 64 GB that Samsung's 2018 flagships launched with, but I'd argue they're not the best way to get more space for photos and videos.

mophie juice pack for Galaxy S9, S9+ extends your AR Emoji use

One of the disappointments of Samsung's latest flagships is that their batteries have barely changed over the years. The Galaxy S9, for instance, sports the same 3,000 mAh pack as the Galaxy S7 from 2016. While improvements in processors and battery efficiency promise longer battery lives, the fact remains that you'll barely get through a day without topping up. But why bother getting tangled with cables or fighting over wall sockets when you can prolong your Galaxy S9's or S9+'s use with mophie's latest juice packs, now with wireless charging support.

Galaxy A6+ (2018) mixes Galaxy S9 features, Galaxy J design

The Galaxy A series has traditionally followed the premium Galaxy S line in terms of design. This year, it seems that Samsung is mixing things up a bit, a least with the Galaxy S6 and S6+ 2018 models. In terms of looks, the Galaxy A6+ seems to take more after the entry-level Galaxy J phones. But, as they say, looks can be deceiving and the Galaxy A6+ (2018) definitely has a lot to remind you of this year's Samsung champ.
