PS4 games work the same in Glacier White, but I want one anyway

PS4 games work the same in Glacier White, but I want one anyway

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucker for alternate colors in electronics hardware. As a tech journalist and as a consumer, I always look forward to new versions of devices - even when a new version is only marked by its new external trappings. Sony's approach with the PlayStation has always been one of total disregard for early adopters when it comes to colorways in consoles, making the only way for a person who has a PS4 to get a new look for their PS4 to buy a new one - like this Glacier White version.

The new year also heralds the arrival of new titles that have once been teased and will soon become real. That is practically Sony's message when it gave an appetizer of a video showing off the PlayStation 4 exclusives that fans can look forward to this year. That is, if all goes well. Unfortunately, the editors over at Sony missed the erroneous inclusion of two titles, briefly raising false hopes.

Street Fighter V will shame rage quitters with public profile icon

Even almost a year after launch, Street Fighter V still has problems dealing with rage quitters, or those players who leave a match before its completion, either out of pure frustration or to avoid the penalties of losing. In the months since the game's release, developer Capcom implemented changes to make sure rage quitters were appropriately punished, but poor sportsmanship continues to be a downer for those who play online.

Steam can now configure PS4 DUALSHOCK4 like Steam controllers

Steam is a PC gaming platform, which, to some people, equates to keyboard and mouse. Some PC games, however, can also be played with a gamepad. And with Steam’s own push into “lean back” gaming, the need for controller support in Steam has become even more important. Steam’s own odd Steam Controller solution, however, doesn’t exactly mesh with some gamers. Fortunately, there is another solution available: the PS4 DualShock4 controller. As promised, Steam has brought native support for Sony’s gamepad, allowing users to customize not just its buttons but even its gyroscope.
