Sonic the Hedgehog movie release date confirmed for late 2019

Way back in early 2016, Sega Sammy Holdings' president Hajime Satomi revealed plans for a live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which was first reported in 2014. The information was provided as part of an interview during which Sony Pictures was mentioned, as was a 2018 movie release date. Assuming all of that was still the game plan, we would be seeing the movie hit theaters this year. That, unfortunately, won't be happening.

Black Panther's opening weekend cemented the movie in the record books, not just amongst superhero movies, but in film history. Black Panther was named #1 for opening weekends in February as well as Winter as a season (adjusted and non-adjusted). This film also took home the honor of 5th-largest opening weekend for a film, ever. Numbers 1-4 were Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World, and Marvel's The Avengers.

This is the first action figure I've seen of this particular Lando - this Lando played by Donald Glover. Facebook suspended that Page yesterday for violating the platform's rules after receiving reports of harassment.
