Star Wars Find the Force event is an augmented reality treasure hunt

Lucasfilm and Disney have announced their second 'Force Friday' event, which they're simply calling 'Force Friday II.' The first Force Friday was held in 2015, and this upcoming one will be held on September 1, the companies say. Ushering it in will be an event Disney is calling 'Find the Force,' which is described as being an augmented reality-based treasure hunt that spans the globe. It's not quite what you're imaging, though.

Netflix to Disney: wait, let’s talk about Marvel and Star Wars

Netflix to Disney: wait, let’s talk about Marvel and Star Wars

While Disney-made Disney content seems to be 100% off the table, Netflix still wants to negotiate over Marvel and Star Wars content. Disney, after all, owns the whole lot. Netflix stands to gain or lose a whole lot of viewers based on news bits like "Disney will ditch Netflix in 2019". Amid talks of the future of Disney's stream-friendly content, the CEO of the company agreed that Marvel and Star Wars (Lucasfilm) content might well be next to leave Netflix.

Disney Netflix pull first, Star Wars and Marvel next

Disney Netflix pull first, Star Wars and Marvel next

After an announcement of a Disney content pull from Netflix, the company further expressed the possibility of doing so with Lucasfilm and Marvel content. Not that they'd necessarily pull the content that's been licensed under Netflix brand specifically, but that they're considering more separate streaming services. If they do decide to split these other brands, we'd have one whole heck of a lot of streaming brands to choose from - or perhaps we'll see it the other way - that we've got too many services to pay for.

This is Donald Glover as Lando (and Chewie’s wife?!)

Today we've gotten a couple looks at what Donald Glover is going to look like in the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars film. While it should be relatively obvious that his appearance won't change drastically - Lando's just a man, after all - we do get to see some sweet costume images. Very, very small images that I feel border on cruelty - thanks Ron Howard! Now, to start making that super-duper-early cosplay jacket in yellow...

Star Wars Han Solo movie taps director Ron Howard to replace Lord/Miller duo

Lucasfilm recently issued a brief statement revealing that the unnamed Han Solo movie slated for 2018 had lost its two directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller. The reason for the departure was cited as 'creative differences,' though reports have since claimed that the duo were fired over repeatedly clashing with others on the project including producer Kathleen Kennedy. Considering the movie's rapidly approaching premiere, Lucasfilm had to move fast to find a replacement, and now we know who it selected.

Star Wars Han Solo movie loses directors over ‘creative differences’

Lucasfilm has reported a disturbance in the force, saying it has lost untitled Han Solo movie directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller over unspecified 'creative differences.' Star Wars The Last Jedi Trivia: is that a Bothan, or not?

Star Wars The Last Jedi Trivia: is that a Bothan, or not?

The first major photo shoot for Star Wars The Last Jedi brought with it a question of nature of one alien in particular - this horse-faced fellow you see before you. "Many Bothans died to bring us this information," said Mon Mothma, leader of the Rebellion, in Star Wars Return of The Jedi. Since then it's been a never-ending battle to decide what Bothans - the Bothan Spies, that is - were and how they looked. In the most recent discussion on the matter, it's clear: there is no one, single version of a Bothan, but many.

Though if you want to be entirely vegan about the next film, now's the time to click out.
