The Beatles will have their very first LEGO set in the very near future thanks to a talented member of the LEGO Ideas group. User Kevin Szeto took to the Yellow Submarine as an inspirational work of art several months ago. As an "amateur musician and songwriter," said Szeto, "I have always been drawn to the music of The Beatles. The creation of the Yellow Submarine model was really my way of showing my affection for The Beatles, as well as trying to pay a small tribute to The Beatles phenomenon."

LEGO WALL-E set surfaces ahead of launch

We've known for a while that LEGO would be bringing to fruition a WALL-E set, and now images that are (probably) of it have surfaced via a toy retailer's website. The set won't be available to purchase until this holiday season, and LEGO hasn't made an official unveiling on its Ideas blog yet. The retailer's website presents three images, however, two of them showing the set's box and one showing the blocky plastic WALL-E robot himself. It looks similar to the original Ideas project's WALL-E.

The latest design to reach the second stage of Lego Ideas product development is an enormous replica of the Titanic. If this Lego kit makes it all the way to production, it would be the biggest single kit every produced. The project was designed for Lego Ideas which is a crowdsourced platform that can bring anyone's concepts for a new Lego set to fruition. If a project gathers 10,000 supporters on the site, then it will be eligible for a special review after which it could go into production.

Once the public votes and a certain number of positive votes are counted, the product goes to LEGO for judgement - these two newest sets have made it through to production. They include a learning "Birds" set and a set based on the television show The Big Bang Theory.
