Zelda still coming to Wii U

Don't fret, lovers of Zelda, word from Miyamoto himself suggests that Zelda will be coming to Wii U. Just this past March, Nintendo suggested that Zelda might not be coming to Wii U after all - instead heading to their next game platform "codename NX". Today, Miyamoto suggests that while the game might not be coming inside 2015, it'll still be coming to Wii U. Nintendo's current hero console will, eventually, get the Link it's been hoping for since inception. The greatest Zelda adventure to ever grace a console, of course.

Legend of Zelda for Wii U delayed, won’t be at E3

At The Game Awards this past December, The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma said that the game would be arriving this year for the Wii U gaming console. Fans have been eagerly awaiting, but unfortunately that hope will need to sustain gamers for a while longer. Today on Nintendo's Miiverse gaming website, Aonuma gave a status update -- the game has been delayed, and won't be arriving this year as originally planned. As a result, the game also won't be showcased at E3 this year, as there's little point given the delay.

At the first Game Awards held in Las Vegas on Friday night, Nintendo gave the world its first look at the new Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U since this year's E3. A new hands-on video was shown with non other than Nintendo legend and Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto, and series director Eiji Aonuma at the controls to demo new gameplay and features that will take advantage of the Wii U hardware.
