The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening review – Second time’s the charm

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening review – Second time’s the charm

Though I count The Legend of Zelda as one of my favorite game franchises, I’ve never properly played Link’s Awakening. When I was a kid, my Game Boy served mostly as a vehicle for Pokemon, and though I’d always heard good things about Link’s Awakening, I never actually gave it a decent chance. Luckily for me, Nintendo has remade the game for the Switch, giving me a chance to play it without having to bust out a decades-old handheld. For those who may be in the same boat, is Link’s Awakening a safe buy on the Switch?

Nintendo Labo VR will work with Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword isn’t coming to Switch after all

Well, it was fun to think about for a couple of days, but it seems that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword won't be coming to Switch anytime soon. Over the weekend, series producer Eiji Aonuma seemingly teased a Switch port for Skyward Sword at a Zelda concert in Osaka. Today, however, Nintendo shot down hope of such a port, so it looks like we Switch owners will be getting our Zelda kicks from Breath of the Wild for the foreseeable future.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword might be coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has developed a habit of porting older games over to the Switch, but thus far, those first-party ports have mostly been limited to Wii U games. That could be changing at some point in the future, as Nintendo may be planning to bring The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to the Switch. Skyward Sword, of course, was the final Zelda game for the Wii, and the last mainline game before Breath of the Wild (if we're not counting the HD re-releases of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker).

The ones we do see usually come in the form of some sort of bundle deal, which might stick you with accessories or games you don't really want. Best Buy has a new bundle deal of its own on offer currently, but this time around, you get to pick the game it comes with.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brings BotW Master Cycle Zero and Link

There is no shortage of racing games in any platform but Mario Kart has a special place in gamers’ hearts. It is one of the few and perhaps the most notable racing game that makes any aspect, including losing, just as fun as winning.
