Lenovo Yoga Book hands-on: 2-in-1 ultraportable blends Wacom and TRON

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus first impressions : Right in-between

Lenovo suggests the Yoga Tab 3 Plus could be "your personal TV." If you're the sort of person who relies solely on apps for entertainment, they might be right. This device is one of Lenovo's unique tablets-with-kickstands, working with a 2K display, Android inside, and a chassis that aims for a high-end experience. If the Tab 3 Pro seemed too expensive for some users' taste at the same time as the Tab 3 seemed to need a few more features, this is the place they'll land.

Samsung Gear S3 hands-on: Samsung Pay, LTE, rugged smartwatch

If you've got a Galaxy Note 7 in your pocket then the perfect accompaniment is a Samsung Gear S3 on your wrist, at least that's the argument the smartphone behemoth is making ahead of the Apple Watch 2. Launched at IFA 2016 today, the Gear S3 builds on Samsung's earlier Tizen wearables with a more distinctive and tougher design, the option of integrated LTE connectivity, and the convenience of Samsung Pay to leave your purse or wallet (and, for that matter, your Galaxy phone) at home.

ASUS ZenScreen is a portable USB-C display for your laptop

ASUS' big announcement today may have been the ZenWatch 3, but if it's a secondary screen for your ultrabook not your smartphone that you're interested in, there's something new for you too. The ASUS ZenScreen is, as the name suggests, a portable display: effectively just the top-half of a notebook with a USB-C connection.

With a simple, clean design, the latest ZenPad features a 9.7-inch touchscreen display (2048 x 1536) and its chassis comes from a single piece of aluminum. It's easy to see a resemblance with the iPad Air 2, but the ZenPad 3S 10 beats Apple's tablet in thickness, measuring just 5.8mm.

This is the new ASUS ZenWatch 3

Just as they had previously teased, Asus has unveiled its new ZenWatch 3 smartwatch at the IFA 2016 show in Berlin this week. Acer bets on IMAX to make Star VR the Oculus-killer

Acer has opened up on just what it believes will make its Star VR headset a success in the face of Oculus, Vive, and Gear VR, bringing both the latest devices and some content partners to IFA 2016 in Berlin this week. Announced earlier in the year, Star VR is Acer's take on the growing virtual reality space, as it attempts to expand its success in gaming with the Predator line into a new, and growing segment.

A curved display notebook? Acer Predator 21 X wows with vast laptop

Curved displays are gradually making their way into the living room and onto the desktop, but so far laptops have been relatively immune to the charms of a flexed panel. That's something overdue, Acer believes, and so gamers have the promise of the Predator 21 X on the horizon, a vast, 21-inch portable with the world's first curved notebook display.

Acer’s IFA 2016 gaming monitors keep an eye on your eyes

Acer’s IFA 2016 gaming monitors keep an eye on your eyes

Display makers these days are trying to think up of ways, some would say gimmicks, to invigorate the PC monitor market and especially appeal to the usually lucrative and high-spending gaming crowd. Samsung and LG both have their new UltraWide curved monitors, and while Acer does have a rather curious curved screen laptop, the first of its kind, it isn’t stopping there. At IFA 2016, it is unveiling three new monitors,, the Predator Z271T, Predator XB251HQT, and Predator XB271HUT, all designed for gaming that, while varying in specs, share one thing in common. All three sport Tobii’s eye-tracking technology, promising new areas of innovation in reactivity and input for games.

Acer Chromebook R 13 takes aim at large tablets, convertibles

Acer Chromebook R 13 takes aim at large tablets, convertibles

Chromebooks are getting a new lease on life, ironically thanks to the promised support for Android apps, which is actually still coming. That waiting period is almost a perfect time for manufacturers like Acer to put out new Chromebook models that switch from laptop to tablet and anything else in between. Indeed, the new Chromebook R 13 unveiled here at IFA 2016, like the R 11 before it, is one such device. But with a larger screen and (somewhat mediocre) mobile specs, the Chromebook R 13 isn’t just competing among dozens of low-priced Chromebooks. It is also in a race against larger Android tablets and, of course, Windows 10 convertibles.
