Lenovo launches USB 3.0 dock

Space is a premium commodity on ultrabooks and thin-and-lights, so OEMs need to cut out ports where necessary to get the chassis as thin as possible. Sony has its own solution in the Power Media Dock, plugging into the VAIO Z in order to provide additional ports and a discrete GPU. Now Lenovo has a similar solution, serving as USB 3.0 hub and port replicator.

Just this past week we got our hands on the Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE, a perfectly excellent tablet from Samsung carried by Verizon and reviewed and full by us. This week we've got our hands on the official Full Size Keyboard Dock, as it were, and it's looking to be the perfect companion for this already pretty nice little device. What we're going to look at here in this relatively brief review is build quality, speed of connection, and expansion abilities - spoiler: it does pretty good in all these categories.

Speakal iKurv iPhone docking station unveiled

I can’t really think of the Speakal brand without thinking of the cutely odd iPig dock for the iPhone and iPod touch that looked like a pig with touch control ears. Speakal has plenty of other strange and interesting docking devices though. The latest to come for the company is the iKurv designed to look like a spaceship. I don’t really see any space ship cues in the design, but it looks cool nonetheless.

Samsung has outed a range of official accessories for their popular Galaxy S smartphone, including both desktop and in-car docks together with portable charger for juicing up a spare battery.  As with docks we've seen for Motorola phones, the Samsung versions recharge the Galaxy S; however Samsung also offer a free Desk Home app in the Android Market that automatically manages daytime/nighttime brightness and provides one-touch access to the Daily Briefing, alarm clock, music, pictures, movie gallery and local weather.
