Samsung’s teased 4x camera Galaxy phone and a gradient

Samsung’s teased 4x camera Galaxy phone and a gradient

Samsung teased "A Galaxy Event" set to take place on October 11th, 2018. Today we're going to suss out what it'll likely include. Since the event suggests that this will be a Galaxy device, we'll assume either smartphone or tablet - even though we've seen other Galaxy-named devices in the past (like the Galaxy Camera.) With rumors appearing in past months and more recent facts coming to bear, I feel we've got a pretty OK idea of what Samsung's got coming.

Google Pixel 3: If it looks like this, sign me up

The Google Pixel 3 XL (and non-XL) could be exercises in the simplest of adjustments and the most major adoption of trends. They could be radically different, or they could be pretty much the same as before. Or they could be both! If we're looking at a few images mocked up by designer "Phone Designer", we're really rolling with both.

Samsung’s next Galaxy could be a radical departure from iPhone X

Samsung’s next Galaxy could be a radical departure from iPhone X

We've been tracking the Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, and now the Galaxy Note 9 too - but what comes next? Is it worth the wait to skip over the Galaxy S9 and Note 9 altogether? Today we're having a peek at some clues that suggest Samsung's next Galaxy smartphone might be the most radical departure from their biggest rival - Apple's iPhone X - since the two companies began warring.

If Essential Phone 2 stays this flat, I’ll call it king

If Essential Phone 2 stays this flat, I’ll call it king

Essential Phone PH-2 might well be the most excellent offbeat smartphone ever made. But only if Essential sticks to their guns. Only if Essential does not give into the trends that are ruling the smartphone community right now. And only if Essential keeps their display like it should be - super flat. What we're looking at today is a concept rendering of what the next Essential Phone might look like, ideally.

Galaxy Note 9: If it looks like this, sign me up

The Samsung Galaxy S9 could be one of the simplest - yet most stunning - smartphone designs of the year. If Samsung plays their cards right, they could have a device that does not follow the (nonsensical) trends grabbing hold of manufacturers of smartphones of all sorts. If Samsung stays true to their roots, they'll have a smartphone that doesn't over-think what consumers want.

ZTE Iceberg gets 2x notches and 4x glass corners

The ZTE Iceberg is a concept design designed by ZTE - officially. I say this first because the design is so bonkers, it looks at first as though it wasn't meant to be seen by the public. OR, it looks like a design student was asked to create the most daring design they could imagine still seeing the production floor. Either way, the details here deserve a once-over.

Apple planning a wearable touchpad

Apple planning a wearable touchpad

Today we're having a look at a series of drawings and descriptions of a technology Apple has planned. This tech has electricity running through a series of strands of material, and the material is arranged in a weave. The conductive woven material creates the potential for Apple to go absolutely nuts in the wild world of wearables.

This iPhone 8 just went full Android

This iPhone 8 just went full Android

Now that the Internet has a pretty good idea of what the iPhone 8 is going to look like, pictures like these are coming in quick. What we've got here is a series of images which use the iPhone 8's body - also a concept based on leaks as a base. This series of images makes a user interface that's built "based on an Android user's expectations."

Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 concept – A deeper look into the car [Video]

We knew Rolls-Royce was showing off its Vision Next 100 concept in London, but we were thoroughly unprepared for what we saw. Taking a different approach than parent BMW did with its Vision Next 100 concept, Rolls tried to imagine what the super-luxury clientele of the future would want, versus the performance-minded enthusiast that BMW has traditionally appealed to.

iPhone 7 renders show key details in rumored “Pro” model(s)

Hyper-realistic renderings of the iPhone 7 and the so-called iPhone 7 Pro have appeared this week courtesy of Martin Hajek. If you're unfamiliar with the work of this 3D illustrator, have a peek at some iPhone 6 renderings, or a rendering of an Apple-designed BB-8, or Hajek's early concept of the iPad mini. From there you'll find that, while the images above and below may appear to be very real, they are indeed made by this 3rd-party artist, not Apple. They're right on par with the details we've gathered over the past several weeks, as well - mostly.

The weirdest, crazier cars of Amelia Concours 2016

Just as fine art can be challenging, so can classic cars, and while Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has its fair share of multi-mullion supercars, so it also has a more refined selection of automotive oddballs. In fact, when some of the biggest collectors in the US - and abroad - get together to outdo each other, you're bound to find some more unusual vehicles in the mix.

Sony’s Future Lab Program will let users in on R&D ideas

Sony’s Future Lab Program will let users in on R&D ideas

Many companies, especially tech ones, have research and development divisions and groups, but almost all of those happen behind close doors. Sony, surprisingly, is taking a daring, and perhaps risky, contrary approach, at least for some of its technologies. With its new Future Lab Program, it is opening the doors wide to its technological R&D, inviting users to be part at least of the conceptual and prototyping stages. It is the beginning of a new culture that will kick off when Sony unveils "N", the first Future Lab project, at SxSW next week.
