Give your Corvette a wagon look with Callaway’s new AeroWagen mod

Give your Corvette a wagon look with Callaway’s new AeroWagen mod

Corvette enthusiasts may remember back to 2013 when Callaway, the Chevy customization specialist, debuted its concept for what many have referred to as a wagon-style modification for the two-door coupe. Dubbed the AeroWagen package, the add-on technically gives the Corvette a shooting brake look, stretching the car's roof line towards the back. Whatever you may call it, the aftermarket part is finally available for almost all C7 Corvette models, including the Z06 and Grand Sport.

Lego Batman Movie’s Batmobile made life-size with help from Chevy

The Lego Batman Movie will be hitting theaters in less than a month, and to help promote it the Lego company teamed up with Chevrolet to take the film's latest take on the Batmobile and build a life-size version of it out of — wait for it — (almost) nothing but plastic Lego bricks. While it may look like the latest Batman Lego set you can buy in stores in the photos shown here, it's actually a 17-foot long, 1,700-pound replica made from just over 344,000 bricks.

Callaway just made the Corvette cooler with this wagon modification

Callaway just made the Corvette cooler with this wagon modification

The Corvette. Chevy's masterpiece of a two-door sports car, with an iconic, easily recognizable design. The thought of giving it a wagon-style body, even maintaining the same number of doors, seems like it should be a crime. But — what if — it was actually awesome? Turns out it is, and Callaway has already made it a reality. The aftermarket tuner, known for customizing cars with the Chevy badge — especially Corvettes — has announced the AeroWagen package for C7 Stingray and Z06 models, to be available this fall.

Chevy Corvette C7.Rs take top two spots at Rolex 24 GTLM race

Just because you're in the same cars from the same car maker doesn't automatically make you buddies on the tracks. At the Rolex 24 at Daytona endurance race, even teams from the same brands need to be the best. And that is exactly what happened with Chevrolet's two Corvette C7.Rs teams, the No. 4 driven by Oliver Gavin and the No. 3 of Antonia Garcia, who ended up racing nose-to-tail for the grand crown. Luckily for Chevy, both cars did make it first to the finish line, just 0.034 seconds apart from each other.

The Cruze has been enjoying the distinction of being Chevrolet's number one selling car since its introduction, both throughout the world, but also especially in the US. While smaller hatchbacks have become all the rage lately, it seems only sensible for Chevy to put two winners together. And that is exactly what it is doing by launching the 2017 Cruze Hatch, to give customers in the US a sporty and functional choice without having to sacrifice all the features and benefits that have made the Cruze sedan such a well-loved car.

Chevy crams 6.2L Supercharged Z06 engine into ’70 Camaro

Chevrolet has built a very cool restomod for SEMA 2015 that started life as a classic 1970 Camaro. Rather than stick with the engine that came with that car stock, Chevrolet crammed a high power crate engine under the hood. That crate engine is the supercharged LT4 that is found under the hood of a Corvette Z06.

LG, GM team up to develop Chevrolet Bolt EV

When you hear of tech companies' involvement with modern, high tech cars, it's usually limited to a few pieces of technology inside the cabin, more often than not, the infotainment system. General Motors, however, is trying to be special by involving LG, popular for its smartphones, TVs, and appliances, in the development of its upcoming Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle. This makes LG perhaps one of if not the first major consumer electronics manufacturers to be a strategic partner in developing one of the cars of the future.
