James Bond’s classic Aston Martin DB5 returns in Skyfall

The people behind the next James Bond film, Skyfall, have announced that Bond's classic Aston Martin DB5 will be featured in the film. Any fan of the series knows that it has a long-running history with Aston Martin in general and the DB5 specifically, which made its first appearance in Goldfinger way back in 1964. Other DB5s have appeared in James Bond flicks since then, but the one appearing in Skyfall has the original BMT 216A registration that the cars found in Goldfinger and Thunderball had.

Aston Martin Vanquish 2012 flagship revealed

Aston Martin has taken the wraps off of its latest supercar, the Vanquish, resurrecting the name for a new grand tourer with a 6.0-litre V12 engine. The hand-built flagship borrows styling details from the limited-edition One-77, managing to look both beautifully taut and proportioned while also including numerous passive-aerodynamic details for improved performance. It's capable of quite the turn of speed, too, funneling 565 bhp and 620 Nm of torque to the road for a 0-62 mph dash in 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph.

Aston Martin has unveiled a new flagship sports car called the DBS Ultimate. The vehicle is available as a coupe or a Volante. Volante is Aston Martin for convertible. The Ultimate comes in three colors, including carbon black II, quantum silver, or silver fox. The cars all feature uniquely colored DBS badges and a number plate.

Aston Martin puts the V12 Zagato into production

Aston Martin has revealed the road-going version of the new V12 Zagato sports car. The car uses the V12 Vantage platform and places a new aluminum/carbon fiber body on the aluminum structure of the base car. I think the car looks pretty cool, but I don't care for the wheels that look like flowers to my eyes. Apparently Top Gear doesn't care for the rear spoiler, but it looks good to me and isn't is outrageous as some cars on the road.

Aston Martin have revealed their plans for a city-car, the Cygnet, offering environmentally-conscious motoring and 5-star Euro NCAP safety together with the brand's premium badge.  Based on the Toyota iQ, the Aston Martin Cygnet will apparently be priced at under £20,000 ($33k); it'll also offer dramatically less performance than the company's DBS, DB9 and Vantage models.
