T-Mobile launches two new international 4G LTE data passes

T-Mobile is making it easier for its wireless customers to stay connected while traveling outside of the United States. The carrier announced two new international data passes today, offering relatively inexpensive mobile data for customers who don't have one of its Magenta (formerly T-Mobile One) plans or who need faster speeds while abroad. Prices start at $35 for a 10-day pass.

Last month, T-Mobile renamed its "T-Mobile One" plan to Magenta, which includes unlimited data and texting in more than 210 countries and 'destinations' outside of the US. The carrier has launched two new mobile data passes for the rest of its customers, giving them 5GB of high-speed data available for up to 10 days at a rate of $35 USD.

For users who need the data over longer than 10 days, there's also a new 30-day international pass that comes with 15GB of high-speed data at $50 USD. These joins the carrier's daily pass option that provides up to 512MB of data available for a single day at $5 USD.

The data passes cover LTE data and include unlimited calling. Customers aren't required to sign up for anything, but rather can just add the pass to their account using the carrier's website or mobile app.

This is one of various options T-Mobile gives customers for accessing data abroad and while flying. The Magenta plan includes 5GB of 4G LTE mobile data alongside unlimited text and talk in Mexico and Canada, though the aforementioned unlimited data in 210+ places is limited to 2G speeds.
