Systemax Assault - 14.1-inch ruggedized notebook

Systemax announces its new 14.1-inch rugged notebook today called Systemax Assault. The chassis of the machine is made of magnesium alloy case with anti-shock design and spill resistant keyboard and touch pad.

"Spills and drops are going to happen, and are even likely in certain environments," says Scott Strunk, Director of Marketing for Systemax Manufacturing. "But we believe that these natural occurrences should not significantly impact our customers' mobile computing needs."

It features Intel Core Duo™ Processor, up to 4.0 GB of RAM, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator with DirectX 9 Graphics, a 14 inch XGA Active Matrix Display, up to 160 GB SATA 5,400 RPM Hard Drive, 2 built in stereo speakers, 3 USB ports, and either Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista. The base system starts at $999.99 and it is now available on Systemax website.
