Sylvester Cann Captures President Barack Obama in an iPad

Last week, at a rally in Seattle for Sentator Patty Murray, the most calm, cool, collected dude in the world Sylvester Cann, wearing a Shepard Fairey Obama HOPE t-shirt, held up his iPad to the President of the United States, Barack Obama, and asked for an autograph. As Cann notes, this might be the first digital signature a president has ever made (doubt it), almost certainly the first presidential autograph ever signed on an iPad, and unless we're talking finger painting – the first presidential autograph ever signed with the president's finger instead of a writing tool.

Cann was carrying a first-gen iPad equipped with Adobe's free Ideas app. "You can sign with your finger," said Cann, who then proceeded to teach Barack Obama about the future by making a tiny mark in the lower right hand corner. The best thing to come of all this? Facebook's "The swagger & composure of the guy who got the President to sign his iPad", which you can of course "like." Take a look at the video below to see it go down, then head on over to the temp side set up by Cann to commemorate the event: The First Presidential iPad Autograph: "I figured, 'Why not ask?'"
