Surface Pro 4, Surface Book updates improve sleep woes and more
Microsoft has pushed out updates for the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, bringing some driver and firmware updates while fixing certain issues including those sleeping troubles both devices suffer. In a statement, Microsoft's Panos Panay said, "We are committed to continuing to improve Surface – to keep pushing out updates to make your device more awesome." The updates are available via Windows Update.
As anyone who uses the Surface Book can tell you, the laptop suffers from some bugs — there have been reports of issues with sleep, as well as driver crashes and some other troubles. Some of those things are addressed with a new hardware update the company pushed out today, as well as some driver updates. The firmware update fixes the power management issues some users have had, and the driver updates should address those crashes that have plagued the system.
