Whatever Happened To The Original Car From Starsky And Hutch?
By ELI BECHT
The 1970s TV show "Starsky and Hutch" featured the titular detectives riding around in the now-iconic 1976 bright red Ford Gran Torino solving crimes.
While the show used several cars throughout its run, one model has been on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles since February 2023.
This model, known as "Car #1" from the series, is still equipped with one of the cameras used for filming, and it’s autographed by stars Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul.
In 2014, one of the show’s cars sold at an auction for $40,000. Unfortunately, replicas flooding the market have made finding other cars used in the series increasingly difficult.
