These Used Mazda Models Should Be Avoided At All Costs

NHTSA data says that the 2009 Mazda6 has 10 recalls concerning faults with the airbags, a defective door handle, spiders entering the canister vent line, and more.
Some drivers have reported sudden suspension failure while driving, which was later found to be caused by corrosion. The 2010 and 2011 Mazda6 have similar issues.
The RX-8 has 10 recalls involving its airbags, fuel pump, suspension, heat insulator, and exhaust system. Other complaints involve the clutch and transmission.
The 2012 Mazda CX-9 has racked up 218 NHTSA complaints, many of which involve brake or water pump failure. It also has three recalls due to the car’s Takata airbags.
This car has over 500 complaints to the NHTSA, most of which concern a faulty transmission. Some still had issues after replacing the transmission multiple times.
The 626 has also been subject to four recalls to date, most recently concerning a faulty ignition switch. Older recalls were issued for a leaking fuel filter and faulty airbags.
This car has logged 448 NHTSA complaints and five recalls. Common complaints include failure of the car's lights, failing brakes, and various electrical gremlins.
