These Are Ford's Most Reliable Power Stroke Diesel Engines Ever Made

Over their nearly 30 years of history, Ford Power Strokes diesel engines have gained a reputation for their reliability and power. However, a few iterations stand above the rest.
7.3-Liter
The first and inarguably best Power Stroke is the 7.3-liter V8, produced in 1994. Ford boasted it was "the biggest, most powerful V-8 diesel available in light trucks."
According to Ford, early tests of the 7.3 Power Strokes found it could surpass the 200,000-mile mark with nothing more than regular preventative maintenance and few major repairs.
The 7.3 made 210 horsepower and 425 pound-feet of torque during the first year of production. The engine continued to be made until 2003, garnering a massive fanbase.
6.7-Liter
Ford's current turbodiesel engine, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke was produced in 2011 and is likely the most common Power Stroke on the road today.
A current High-Output 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel makes 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque. The Drive reported that a 6.7 Power Stroke reached over one million miles.
