Nintendo Switch Settings That Are Ruining Your Gaming Experience
By CALEB CLARK
Airplane Mode
By default, Airplane Mode
will disable all wireless communications; however, you can tweak its settings on your Nintendo Switch to allow certain features to be active.
Go to Airplane Mode in Settings and toggle it to see individual Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC options. Then, select which options you want to keep functioning.
Light Mode
The Switch’s default Light Mode can be a serious eyesore due to its bright white menu screen. Luckily, you
can easily change this to the easier-on-the-eyes Dark Mode.
Open Settings and scroll to the Themes option to find Basic White and Basic Black. Select Basic Black to have a much more pleasant Dark Mode experience.
Lock Console
While Lock Console can prevent you from accidentally waking up the system by requiring the same button to be pressed three times, some gamers find this annoying.
However, you can turn it off by going to Settings, then Screen Lock to toggle the setting off. Afterward, you only need to press a single button to
wake up your Switch.
Match TV
The Match TV Power State option automatically boots up or powers down your Switch when you turn your TV on and off. Unfortunately, this feature isn’t selected by default.
To turn this feature on, go to Settings, TV Settings, and Match TV Power State. It’s important to note that Match TV Power State isn’t available for the Switch Lite.
Notifications
While it’s nice having friends to play with, the Switch will inform you whenever one of your friends logs on or off. These notifications can
get annoying quickly.
You can turn off notifications by going to Settings, then Friends Settings. It will ask which user you want to adjust settings for and
give you several options
for notifications.
