5 Awesome Features Every Honda CR-V Owner Needs To Know
By DANNY BOJIC
Traffic Monitor
Cross Traffic Monitor issues audio and visual alerts when another vehicle comes within 82 feet of the backup camera or detects anything between 6 and 16 mph.
To enable this feature, select the Home icon. Afterward, go into Settings, Camera, Rear Camera, Cross Traffic Monitor, and toggle the function on.
Power Tailgate
Honda’s smart-entry remote allows owners to open or close their tailgate by simply hitting the tailgate button on the remote or the button on their CR-V.
Owners can also program the tailgate height by pressing the tailgate button on the remote while it’s opening. Then, hold the close button for a few seconds until it beeps.
Car Play/Auto
Introduced in 2017 models, Apple CarPlay controls your car’s built-in display, making it safer to use your iPhone while driving.
Android Auto does all these things, too, but for smartphones running an Android operating system. These features are great for accessing your phone while remaining safe.
Sun/Moon Roof
Honda shows what sun and moon roofs are capable of with their new CR-Vs. Any CR-V model above the EX boasts both features, with a One-Touch Power Moonroof.
Drivers can choose between tilting or fully opening the moonroof with a single touch. It also includes an auto-reverse feature if its path is obstructed.
Reclining Rear
To help utilize the CR-V’s trunk space, the SUV comes with 60/40 rear seats, ensuring you have as much storage space as possible.
Drivers have several options: to fold the seats down 100%, only 60% with the middle seat or one of the larger seats, or 40% with only one of the larger seats.
