Starbucks for Outlook add-on makes meeting over coffee simple

Want to meet with an associate over a prospective partnership, meet up with classmates to work on a project, or get together with a group of friends for a game of cards? There's a good chance you're considering Starbucks as your meeting location of choice. To make getting together there easier, Microsoft has launched a new Outlook add-on called Starbucks for Outlook, and it simplifies the scheduling process.

The Starbucks add-on is available for Outlook.com, Outlook 2013 and 2016, and Outlook on the web users who are using either Exchange 2013, Exchange 2016, or Office 365. The add-on can be downloaded for free from the Office Store. For those on Outlook.com or Office 365, installation is as easy as clicking this link. For others, you'll need to follow these instructions:

1. In Outlook 2013 or Outlook 2016, click Store from the Home tab on the ribbon. In Outlook on the web click the gear icon (top right) and select Manage Add-ins.

2. Type in "Starbucks" in the search bar on the top right.

3. The search will return the "Starbucks for Outlook" add-in, then set the toggle to "on" to install the add-in.

4. The add-in will appear in the command bar ribbon on the top.

Using it is pretty simple — you can see a demonstration in the video above. Click the Starbucks button within Outlook, then search a city and choose the specific Starbucks location. The button can also be used to send one of your contacts a Starbucks gift card using a saved card (presumably from your Microsoft account). Microsoft says it will bring the Starbucks add-on for Outlook Mobile and Outlook on Mac "in the coming months."
