Sprint EVO 4G up for sale online

If you're not in the UK, don't fret; there's a new Android super-device for you today too.  Sprint's HTC EVO 4G, the first WiMAX-toting smartphone in the US, is now available online, priced at $199.99 (after $150 instant savings and a $100 mail-in rebate) with a new, two year agreement.

If the absence of Android 2.2 Froyo is holding you back, never fear; even before the EVO 4G is officially on sale, there's a port of the updated OS you can install.  The smartphone's user guide has also been published online, just in case you want to run through its capabilities in-depth before you sign up.

Still, you can't argue too much with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, WiMAX and HTC Sense.  We've reviewed the EVO 4G both here on SlashGear and over at our sibling site, Android Community, so check out all the details to make sure this is the smartphone for you.
