Spotify adds 'Concert' tab with tour dates to artist pages

Spotify has made its artist pages a little more convenient with the addition of a new "Concerts" tab. As the name suggests, this new tab collects concert information — namely, tour dates — in one easy to access location. This expands upon Spotify's previously launched concert-centric features, including the personalized concert recommendations and an 'On Tour' section with geographic targeting.

The 'Concert' tab is very simple — it lists all of the artist's upcoming tour dates, assuming there are some in the pipeline. The tab makes it easier to see concerts for a specific artist rather than depending on the geo-targeted options or the personalized suggestions. According to Spotify, it is rolling out the new tab to its desktop app today.

The tour dates listed in the Concert tab are being gathered automatically from Songkick. It isn't clear whether this feature will be making its way to the mobile app at some point or to the Web interface. If you have the desktop app, though, you should be able to see the Concert tab now.

If you don't want to navigate to the Concert tab in search for your next show, you can head into "Browse" instead and then choose "Concerts." That section will show you a list of what is available nearby to you based on your own listening habits. This particular feature rolled out last year.
